A great stop on the way in or out of the San Juan Islands.
If you choose a cruise to the San Juan Islands it is your time so you decide which islands you would like to visit and for how long.
San Juan Island has two favorite spots. Friday Harbor and Roche Harbor. Both places are completely different but are on the same island. Check out the San Juan Island Cam to see what's going on.
If you are up for some shopping, having an ice cream cone, or touring the island this is your stop. You can rent scooters to explore the island. After having fun in Friday Harbor we could cruise to the west side of the island were you can relax in the picturesque and historical Roche Harbor. There is a small church on the hill just above the marina. A quiet little shopping area. Hotel de Haro established 1886. Within walking distance is Westcott Bay Reserve. There's sculpture after sculpture in an amazingly serene surrounding. Even if you are not an art lover it is a must see. The Mausoleum is another wonderful walk though the woods and a small cemetery.
